Every ride throws something at you. A bad turn you didn't see coming, weather that shows up uninvited, a stretch of road that makes you question why you left the house. Every life does the same thing, just slower, and with fewer helmets involved.
The instinct in both cases is the same: check the mirror, second-guess, slow down. We wanted an artwork that argued against that instinct.
The same philosophy, on two wheels or none
Riders learn something drivers and pedestrians don't always internalize — that looking back too long is how you miss what's ahead. It's not recklessness. It's focus. You acknowledge the roadblock, you adjust, and you keep moving, because the alternative is standing still on a road that doesn't stop for anyone.
That's the whole philosophy behind this artwork. Not a slogan about speed. A statement about how we handle uncertainty — on a bike, in a career, in whatever roadblock shows up next. Don't Look Back isn't about ignoring what happened. It's about refusing to let it decide what happens next.
